Parents Night Out
Take a date night and leave the kids with us! Children will enjoy cool experiments, amazing exhibits, and more. Parents Night Out is designed so that we can teach your children science while they are having fun. They will get to explore science by doing hands-on experiments and crafts. Not only do you get to have a fun night out, but your children do too! Each event night has a different theme, so kids will discover something new every time they attend. Summer Camps
DHDC offers week long summer camps for ages 3 through 6th grade. Each camp features a different theme, which include exciting experiments, crafts, and games that your children will love! Summer camps offer amazing learning opportunities with updated science-based curricula and are taught by highly qualified and certified teachers. Our summer program will inspire learning and creativity in your children throughout the summer, so they are excited and motivated for school. Registration for the 2020 Summer Camps is now open.
Kinderstudio
The DHDC offers fun science activities that inspire the creativity in our littlest visitors. Each week at the Discovery Center, children 7 and under may participate in an activity in our KinderStudio. From soap bubble art to play dough models, we will get your tots excited about science as they create their own masterpieces! Check our KinderStudio calendar on our Events page each month for a schedule of activities. In addition to regular KinderStudio activities, you can join our monthly Coffee & Cuties events. These take place on the first Friday of each month at 9:00am, 10:00 am and 11:00 am and include a story time combined with a fun craft activity for kids 5 and under. And while the kids are busy having fun, Mom, Dad or grandparents can grab a hot cup of joe from the Coffee Bar! Coffee & Cuties is free with general admission, and no reservations are necessary.
Science Studio
Come and explore engaging science activities with us on the weekends and on special dates! Science Studio activities are for all ages and are facilitated by DHDC staff to ensure the best learning environment. See our monthly calendar for activity times.
