Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

Grades 9-12 Join us as we work in association with Pantex to bring over 20 local organizations and businesses that educate and inspire women to follow engineering careers. It will be an afternoon to excite and empower girls to get involved in STEM fields through guest panels, hands-on activities with companies and face-to-face interactions. Chemists Celebrate Earth Day!

Grades K-5 Join DHDC, WTAMU and the American Chemical Society as we celebrate our home planet and dive into this year’s theme, Oceans: Dive into Marine Chemistry. Students will explore the chemical aspect of water preservation and keeping our marine life healthy through hands-on learning stations, interactive demonstrations and special guest presentations. DHDC Catapult Challenge 2018

Grades 5-12 Student teams will test their engineering and design skills and expand their knowledge of math and physics as they create and construct a catapult to compete for eternal glory! Awards will be given for top teams in each age division, along with non-points awards for the Fiercest Fighter (best overall catapult design) and the Innovator’s Award (most creative or original catapult design.)
